Participating Schools

Teacher’s Teacher provides opportunities for Illinois teachers for continued
professional growth through online and face-to-face workshops.

 Online Workshops

Join hundreds of Illinois teachers who have discovered the convenience of online learning. As
a professional, you have a responsibility to stay up-to-date with current practice and
methodology in teaching. Certificate renewal requires ongoing professional growth, and often
 provides opportunities for increased wages.

Why do teachers prefer online learning? It provides the opportunity to collaborate with other
professionals with no geographic boundaries. No time is wasted commuting. Coursework
provides practical applications for immediate classroom use, delivered by seasoned
classroom teachers. And, most importantly, assignments can be completed at the time and
place most convenient for the participant, with busy schedules in mind.

New to online learning, and perhaps a bit apprehensive? We use a course management
program called Moodle. It’s simple to use; the only requirement is an Internet connection. We
offer an orientation to all participants new to online learning.

 Face-to-Face Workshops

Over 60 different workshops are provided in the technology center at our location on Chicago’s
southwest side. There is something for everyone, from the beginner who needs to gain
confidence in Microsoft Office or use of the web, to the more advanced user who is
discovering how to use wikis and weblogs with their students.

 Customized Workshops

Administrators can request an online or face-to-face workshop at your location specific to the
 needs of your faculty.
